It’s that time of year where you may be searching for a last-minute gift for your child’s teacher. School is already out for us this year, and I’m sorry if my post is a little too late to help you because school already ended for you as well, but you could always keep this idea in your back pocket for next year! If your child is still in school and you are searching for a quick teacher gift idea, I hope you like this one!

My youngest daughter finished kindergarten this year and we wanted to give her amazing teacher and the awesome kindergarten aide gifts to show our appreciation for all they’ve done this year. I actually pre-bought these cute Target Miini Shopping Baskets during Christmas season because I thought they would be awesome to use to gift a Target gift card along with a few other smaller gifts. Some ideas to include along with the gift card inside the mini shopping basket could be things like a small candle, notepad, favorite candy, hand soap, school supplies, etc. A Starbucks gift card would also be cute in the basket since Starbucks is inside many Target stores. We made this PRINTABLE TAG to attach to the mini Target shopping basket that says, “Thank you for keeping me on TARGET this year!” I saw other tags with this and similar sayings around the web, so you may want to search and use one of these other tags or create your own tag.  You can also feel free to download our printable tag and attach it to your own basket if you like it! We attached the tags with some red ribbon I already had in my ribbon scrap collection. If you are desperate for a ribbon, check your gift bag handles to see if any of those would work! A quick trip to Target (or an online order if you have time to wait for shipping) is all you need to create a cute and practical gift for your favorite teacher. Before heading to your local Target, definitely check online to make sure they have the mini shopping baskets in stock. While the saying on our downloadable tag would probably only be suited for someone like a teacher/coach/mentor, the mini shopping basket along with the gift card and small items would be a cute gift for anyone who loves Target!

***Side note: I know our pictures show the Target gift card on a popsicle stick, but we did not send it with our daughter on the bus to school like that, for fear that the gift card could fall out or get lost. We actually put the Target gift card inside the greeting card my daughter wrote for her teacher. The greeting card was safe inside an envelope in the Target mini shopping basket.
