Easy DIY Mickey Bucket

If you are looking for a last-minute accessory for a Mickey Mouse costume this Halloween, make this cute Mickey pail so your little one has a matching candy bucket when trick-or-treating! I made one for my son a few years ago when he dressed as Mickey Mouse for Halloween. This is so simple, you could even have your child make it himself/herself. It would be a fun craft for a young Mickey Mouse fan to do any time during the year. Below are the instructions if you or your child would like to make one.

MATERIALS

  • Red Sand Bucket
  • Yellow/White Cardstock
  • Pencil
  • Scissors/Safety Scissors (for child)
  • Tape/Glue

DIRECTIONS

  1. Use a pencil to draw two large ovals on the cardstock. You could always draw one oval and then trace it to make sure both ovals are the same size.
  2. Cut the ovals out of the cardstock with your scissors.
  3. Tape or glue the ovals onto your bucket. Arrange them to look like Mickey Mouse’s buttons. I used double-sided tape meant for scrapbooking when I attached the ovals to my bucket.

That’s it! Now you are ready to use your Mickey bucket!
